Australia Post Implements Digital Notifications for Enhanced Customer Experience
Our trusted shipping partner, Australia Post, is introducing digital notifications instead of the traditional “sorry we missed you” cards. Taking a leap forward by embracing digital notifications, this also significantly reduces paper wastage and ultimately aims at providing you with an even better customer experience.
Embracing Digital Notifications from June 26 2023
Starting from June 26, Australia Post will be phasing out the traditional handwritten cards in favour of digital notifications through their MyPost platform. This means that if a delivery attempt is made while you're away, you'll receive timely updates via email, the Australia Post app, or SMS if you're a registered MyPost user.
Customize Your Notification Preferences
What's even better is that Australia Post understands that everyone has their own preferences. That's why they're giving you the flexibility to customize your notification preferences. You can choose the method of notification that suits you best, ensuring a personalized and convenient experience.
Accurate and Efficient Digital Notifications
So, why is Australia Post making this change? Well, it's all about accuracy and efficiency. Digital notifications have proven to be more reliable than physical cards, eliminating any confusion that may arise from inconsistencies between the handwritten card and the updated information on your app or email. With digital notifications, you can trust that the information you receive is accurate and up-to-date.
Commitment to Sustainability
Not only does this change benefit you as a customer, but it also aligns with Australia Post's commitment to sustainability. By reducing paper waste, they're playing their part in protecting the environment. They understand that sustainability is a top concern for many customers like yourself, and this change reflects their dedication to making a positive impact.
Streamlining Delivery Operations
By transitioning to digital notifications, Australia Post will be able to streamline its delivery operations, resulting in improved speed and efficiency. With optimized processes, they can deliver more items each day, ensuring that your packages reach you in a timely manner.
It's important to note that this change currently only applies to customers with a MyPost account and parcels manifested through Parcel Send, eParcel, or MyPost Business that can be matched to their respective accounts
